About Janet's CD

This CD offers a wide range of guided exercises to use at home or in the office. It will help you to relax and calm your anxiety and worry before a speaking or performing event, as well as help you to create a positive, confident attitude in stepping up to the challenge at hand!

Janet will lead you through a series of exercises, including a guided relaxation and healing meditation exercise; an exercise to help you desensitize to the feelings and sensations of fear; a positive visualization and self-affirmation exercise; and a coaching segment. All of these exercises will help you to create a relaxed, confident, and empowered state of mind, body, and spirit as you think about and approach any speaking or performing challenge.

Janet has teamed up with a colleague of hers, Diane Bahr-Groth, C.Hy., who specializes in the area of self-hypnosis. Diane will lead you through a self-hypnosis session designed specifically to help your unconscious mind create a new pattern of responding to these challenges. This will help you to let go of any negatively conditioned responses to speaking or performing and to create a new, more positive and resourceful attitude and feeling about speaking and performing on an even deeper level.

It can be immensely helpful to be guided, supported, and inspired to create more resourceful states of mind, body, and spirit when you are feeling afraid and alone in facing these challenges. These exercises will help you to create feelings of deep relaxation and inner peace; a positive, confident state of mind; and a belief and trust in yourself and your ability to effectively handle whatever speaking or performing challenges you face.

I was so thrilled to receive Janet Esposito's brand new CD! It is beautifully and sensitively done. Each of the 7 tracks has a different emphasis, beginning with a beautiful, gentle relaxation and culminating later on in brief, powerful affirmations, easy to remember and  internalize. Janet's voice is quiet and soothing in the relaxation sections and strong and empowering later on.

In other tracks, symptoms of nervousness are demystified and dealt with, self-esteem is enhanced, inner strength is highlighted, and the listener is reassured that we are not alone in this problem.

In the middle of the CD, Janet's colleague Diane's silky smooth voice takes us through a half hour of guided relaxation with soothing imagery.

For all of this, the price of the CD seems minimal! There is much to work with here. Highly recommended!

Starting with practices of relaxation and grounding, Janet's soothing voice leads the listener into a feeling of deep calmness in mind and body. Next, she moves the listener into an empowered state through guided exercises of positive imagery and self-affirming statements. She helps the listener build feelings of self-trust as she guides the transformation of fear into power, and helps shift one's perspective from dread to a state of readiness to take on the challenge.
I have found both the exercises and the way in which they are presented to be uplifting and practical. Just by listening to the CD, I find my inner strength building so I feel more ready to step up to the opportunity to present with grace and poise.

On fairly short notice, I was asked to address more than 100 employees of a company that had just been bought out by our company. The employees would be told of the sale just minutes before I would be introduced to them. Talk about pressure! For me, it was many of my worst fears about speaking, all wrapped into one event.

Both on the night before, and the day of the event, I listened to portions of Janet's CD, specifically tracks #5, 6, and 7. In fact, I listened to them over and over because they really calmed me down and helped me feel much more confident as the event drew nearer. I became much more relaxed about it. The visualizing of things going well (#5) was especially comforting and helpful. Track #7 really helped me put the whole thing into proper perspective and helped alleviate some of the added pressure I had been putting on myself. Even the small things helped, such as a final send-off message at the very end of the CD, which happened to be the last thing that I thought about before I walked into the tension-filled room.

It was an intimidating environment to say the least, and the audience was as unfriendly as I envisioned. However, I'm happy to report that things went just fine. I can also say with absolute truth that listening to those CD tracks made a tremendous difference. Clearly, purchasing the CD was one of the most worthwhile investments I've made in a long time. There are other parts of the CD that you may find useful for general relaxation, but for actual real-life preparation for a big speech---listening to the last few tracks--- is something tangible that you can do to help yourself if you have a big speech coming up. I highly recommend it!
